Cribbage Unleashed Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Cribbage Unleashed game ("the app") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The app is made by Runtime Forge LLC ("we", "us"). If you have questions, contact us at runtimeforgellc@gmail.com. Your use of the app is also covered by our Terms of Service.
Information we collect
| Information | Where it comes from | Why we use it |
|---|---|---|
| Account ID, name and email address | When you sign in with Google (or Apple, on iOS), through Google Firebase Authentication. If you play as a guest, the app creates an account ID only, with no name or email, until you add a Google (or Apple) account to it. | To create and secure your account and keep your progress tied to it |
| Display name and avatar | What you choose in the app | To show your profile, and to show you to the other player in an online game |
| Game data: stats, progress, unlocked items, equipped cosmetics, and your Crib Cash and Fancy Dollarydoos balances | Your play in the app | To save your game and restore it on your devices |
| Purchase records (product, time, and the store's order or transaction ID) | Google Play or the App Store, when you buy something | To deliver what you bought, prevent fraud, and handle refunds. We never receive your card or payment details. |
| Network information, including your IP address | When you play an online game | Online games connect your device directly to the other player's device, so each device sees the other's IP address. A Google STUN server helps set up that connection. |
| Gameplay statistics: an anonymous summary of each finished Crib Crawl run and Solo game (for example, how far you got, how you counted, and which perks, charms, Trophies and moves you used), with the app version, your platform (such as Android) and the date and hour | Your play in the app | To balance the game and find what's too hard or too easy. The summaries hold no account ID, name or email. You can turn them off anytime in the app (Profile → Share stats and crash reports). |
| Online room statistics: an anonymous summary each time you leave an online room (whether you hosted or joined, the table size and how many seats were people or bots, how you entered the room code, how often you tapped Share or Copy, how many tries a join took and why any failed, whether a game started and how many were played, whether you have played anyone at the table in the last 30 days, and how many different people you have played in that time, up to 20) | Your online games | To improve inviting and playing with friends. The summaries hold no account ID, name, email or room code. You can turn them off anytime in the app (Profile → Share stats and crash reports). |
| Crash reports: the error and where in the app it happened, your device model, operating system version, free memory and storage, the app version, which game mode you were in, and a random ID for this installation of the app | The app, when it crashes or hits an error | To find and fix bugs. Crash reports hold no account ID, name or email. They are processed by Google Firebase Crashlytics. You can turn them off anytime in the app (Profile → Share stats and crash reports). |
| Usage analytics: which screens you open and what you do in the app (for example starting a tutorial, a Crib Crawl street or an online room, or opening the shop), with your device model, operating system version, the app version, your country or city (worked out by Google from a masked IP address) and a random app-instance ID for this installation of the app | Google Analytics for Firebase, inside the app | To see how the app is used (how far players get, which screens they reach, where they stop) and improve it. It holds no account ID, name, email or advertising ID, and the app-instance ID is never joined to your account. In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland it stays off until you say yes at first launch; elsewhere it is on unless you turn it off. You can turn it off anytime in the app (Profile → Share stats and crash reports), which also erases this installation's analytics data on Google's side. |
| Game tuning values: the app fetches balance numbers and feature settings from Google Firebase Remote Config, which records a random installation ID, your country code, language, time zone, platform and the app version | Google Firebase Remote Config, inside the app | To adjust game numbers without shipping an update. It holds no account ID, name or email. |
Some settings, such as game speed and tutorial progress, are stored only on your device. So is a scrambled (salted and hashed) list of the people you've played online in the last 30 days, which the app uses to work out the two "who you play with" numbers above. That list is never sent to us, and it's erased when you delete your account.
What we don't do
- We do not show ads, and we do not use advertising or tracking SDKs. The app does not read your device's advertising ID. The usage analytics described above (Google Analytics for Firebase) are set to deny ad storage and ad personalisation, so nothing we collect is used for advertising.
- We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
- We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera.
Who processes your data
We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Crashlytics, Google Analytics for Firebase and Remote Config) to run accounts, store game data and measure how the app is used, and Google Play or the Apple App Store to process purchases. These providers handle data on our behalf under their own privacy terms: Firebase privacy, Google privacy policy, Apple privacy policy. Data may be stored and processed in the United States. It is encrypted in transit.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and game data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, game data and balances within 30 days. A guest account that has not been used for 30 days is deleted automatically, with its data. We may keep purchase records longer where the law requires it (for example, for tax and accounting). Gameplay and online room statistics aren't linked to your account, so they can't be found or removed with it; we delete them automatically after 90 days. Crash reports are also not linked to your account, and are deleted after 90 days. Usage analytics are kept by Google Analytics for 2 months, and this installation's analytics data is erased when you turn sharing off. Online room records (the room, its code, who joined, and the connection details used to link devices, which include IP addresses) are deleted automatically 7 days after the room was created.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account and its data from inside the app (Profile → Delete account), or by emailing runtimeforgellc@gmail.com from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". Deleting your account permanently removes your progress, items and unspent currency. A guest account can be deleted the same way; signing out of a guest account also makes it unreachable, since there is no sign-in to return to it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or California law), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, and to object to how it is used. To make a request, email runtimeforgellc@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Age requirement
The app is intended for adults 18 and older and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
