Cribbage Unleashed Terms of Service

Runtime Forge LLC · Effective October 2, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Runtime Forge LLC ("Runtime Forge", "we", "us" or "our"), a limited liability company organized in Colorado. They cover your use of the Cribbage Unleashed game, its online features, its in-game store and any related websites or services (together, "the Game").

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. It is part of these Terms. If you have questions, contact us at runtimeforgellc@gmail.com.

1. Accepting these Terms

By downloading, installing, signing in to or playing the Game, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Game.

Some parts of the Game may come with extra rules, such as the rules of a limited-time event. Those rules are part of these Terms while they apply. If they conflict with these Terms, the extra rules win for that feature.

2. Who can play

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Game. By using it, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that you can legally enter into this agreement where you live.

You may not use the Game if the law where you live forbids it, or if we have previously banned you.

3. Your account

You sign in with your Google account through Google Firebase Authentication. You are responsible for keeping access to that sign-in account secure and for everything that happens in the Game under your account.

You can delete your account at any time from inside the Game (Profile → Delete account), on our account deletion page, or by emailing us. Deleting your account permanently removes your progress, Virtual Items and unspent Virtual Currency (see section 5). We cannot restore them.

4. Your licence to use the Game

The Game is licensed to you, not sold. Subject to these Terms, we give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to download, install and play the Game on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment.

This licence does not let you:

We keep every right that these Terms do not expressly give you. The licence ends when your account is closed or these Terms end (see section 11).

5. Virtual Currency and Virtual Items

The Game has two kinds of in-game currency ("Virtual Currency"):

You can spend Virtual Currency on cosmetic items such as pegs, card backs, avatars and similar items ("Virtual Items"). Virtual Items change how things look. They do not give you an advantage in online play.

You get a licence, not ownership. When you earn or buy Virtual Currency or Virtual Items, you receive a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to use them in the Game. You do not own them, and they are not your property.

No cash value. Virtual Currency and Virtual Items have no real-world monetary value. They cannot be exchanged for real money, goods or services, or for anything of value outside the Game, and we will never buy them back.

No transfers or sales. You may not sell, buy, trade, give away or transfer Virtual Currency, Virtual Items or accounts, inside or outside the Game, except where the Game itself provides a way to do so. Any attempt to do so is void, and we may close the accounts involved.

Purchases are final. All purchases of Virtual Currency and the Supporter Pack are final and non-refundable, except as required by law or by Google Play's refund policies. Purchases are made through Google Play and are also governed by that store's terms. Refund requests are handled under that store's policies; see Google Play's refund help. Virtual Currency you buy is delivered when the store confirms payment and our server verifies the order. It is available right away and is used up when you spend it.

Refunds, chargebacks and reversed payments. If a purchase is refunded, charged back, cancelled or otherwise reversed, we will remove the Virtual Currency, Virtual Items and other benefits that came with it. If you have already spent that Virtual Currency, we may remove items bought with it or bring your balance below zero. We may suspend accounts involved in fraudulent or abusive refund activity.

We may manage the in-game economy. We may change prices, the amount of Virtual Currency in a pack, how it is earned, and which Virtual Items are offered, at any time. We may also correct balances or items that were granted by mistake, by a bug or by an exploit.

Prices and taxes. The store shows the price in your local currency, including any taxes it collects, before you confirm a purchase.

If you live in the EU, UK or another place with a right to withdraw from online purchases: by confirming a purchase, you ask us to deliver the digital content right away, and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once delivery begins.

If the Game shuts down. We may stop operating the Game or its online features at any time (see section 12). If we decide to shut the Game down permanently, we will try to give at least 60 days' notice in the Game or on our website, and we will stop selling Virtual Currency when we give that notice. When the Game shuts down, your licence to all Virtual Currency and Virtual Items ends. Unless the law where you live requires otherwise, we do not owe you a refund or compensation for unused Virtual Currency or for Virtual Items.

Deleting your account or losing access. If you delete your account, or it is closed under section 11, you lose all Virtual Currency and Virtual Items, with no refund except as the law requires.

6. The Supporter Pack

The "Sponsored by You: Dev Supporter Pack" ("Supporter Pack") is a one-time purchase that helps support the Game's developer. It currently includes:

The Supporter Pack is cosmetic only. It gives no gameplay advantage. Everything else in the store can still be earned by playing.

7. How you must behave

When you use the Game, you agree not to:

We may investigate suspected breaches. We decide in good faith whether conduct breaks these rules, and we may act under section 11.

8. Online play

You can play online with friends by sharing a room code. Empty seats at an online table may be filled by computer players. Online play needs an internet connection and may not be available at all times.

9. Our intellectual property

The Game and everything in it are owned by Runtime Forge LLC or our licensors, and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. This includes the software and code, artwork, characters, animations, music, sound effects, voice, text, names, logos, user interface and the compilation of all of these. "Cribbage Unleashed", "Smuggins", "Crib Cash", "Fancy Dollarydoos" and related names and logos are trademarks of Runtime Forge LLC. Nothing in these Terms gives you any right to use them, except the licence in section 4.

The traditional game of cribbage is not owned by anyone. Our particular version of it, including its art, text, characters and presentation, is.

Some parts of the Game are open-source software used under their own licences. You can see those licences in the Game (Profile → Open-source licenses).

Parody. Some characters, names and artwork in the Game are affectionate parodies or humorous nods to well-known games, films, characters and pop culture. They are original works made by us for comedy and commentary. They are not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any person, company or owner of the works they poke fun at, and all trademarks and characters that belong to others remain their owners' property. If you believe something in the Game infringes your rights, please contact us at runtimeforgellc@gmail.com and we will look into it promptly.

10. Feedback

We love hearing ideas. If you send us suggestions, feedback, bug reports or ideas about the Game ("Feedback"), you agree that we may use, change and build on that Feedback for any purpose, without paying you or crediting you, and that you will not claim any rights in what we make from it. Please do not send us anything you consider confidential.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Game and delete your account at any time.

We may warn you, reset or remove progress, balances or items gained improperly, change your display name, limit features (such as online play), suspend your account, or close it permanently, if:

Where it is reasonable and allowed, we will tell you why. If you think we made a mistake, email runtimeforgellc@gmail.com and we will review it. If your account is closed for breaking these Terms, you lose your Virtual Currency and Virtual Items without a refund, except as the law requires, and you may not create a new account.

Sections 4 (restrictions), 5 (no cash value, refunds and loss on closure), 9, 10, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 continue after these Terms end.

12. Changes to the Game and to these Terms

The Game. The Game is a live service that changes over time. We may add, change, rebalance or remove features, game modes, rules, Virtual Items and content, and we may stop offering the Game or any part of it, at any time. Updates may be needed to keep playing. We do not promise that the Game or any feature will always be available.

These Terms. We may update these Terms. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the Game or by other reasonable means before it takes effect. If you keep using the Game after the new Terms take effect, you accept them. If you do not agree, stop using the Game and delete your account. Changes will not apply to a dispute that you told us about before the change was posted.

13. Disclaimers

We work hard to make the Game fun and reliable, but the Game is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, free of harmful components, compatible with your device, or that data, progress or Virtual Items will never be lost.

Some places do not allow these disclaimers, so some of them may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that you have under consumer laws that cannot be waived.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

These limits apply to every theory of liability, including contract, tort (including negligence), statute and any other. They do not limit liability for fraud, for gross negligence or willful misconduct, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that the law where you live does not allow us to limit.

15. Indemnity

To the extent the law allows, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Runtime Forge LLC and its member, managers and contractors from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Game, or your violation of any law or anyone else's rights. We will tell you about any such claim and may choose to control its defence, in which case you agree to cooperate with us.

16. Governing law and disputes

Talk to us first. Most problems can be fixed quickly. Before you start any legal claim, you agree to email runtimeforgellc@gmail.com with your name, the email address on your account, a description of the problem and what you want us to do. We will do the same if we have a claim against you, using the email address on your account. Both of us will try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 60 days after the notice is received.

Governing law. These Terms, and any dispute arising from them or from the Game, are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado and the federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

Where disputes are heard. If a dispute is not resolved informally, it will be decided only in the state or federal courts located in Boulder County, Colorado, and you and we consent to those courts' personal jurisdiction. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies. Either of us may ask any court for an injunction to protect intellectual property.

Individual claims. To the extent the law allows, you and we each agree to bring claims only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, consolidated or representative proceeding.

Consumers outside the US. If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country whose consumer laws give you the right to bring claims in your local courts, or to the protection of your local law, nothing in this section takes away those rights.

Time limit. To the extent the law allows, any claim must be brought within one year after it arose, or it is permanently barred.

17. App stores

Google Play. If you got the Game from Google Play, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Runtime Forge LLC only, not Google. Google is not responsible for the Game or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. Your use of Google Play, and the payment for any purchase, is also governed by the Google Play Terms of Service. If those terms conflict with these Terms about purchases or refunds made through Google Play, Google's terms win for that purchase.
